and the Director for the Clinic for Genetic Medicine and an Adjunct
Faculty Member at the University of Florida

Dr Shah completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Baylor College of
Medicine in Houston, Texas

Fellowship

Dr. Shah completed his Clinical Genetics training at the Baylor College of
Medicine in Houston, Texas. Among genetics departments at U.S.
medical schools, the department ranks highest in both grants and
funding from the National Institutes of Health

Research Training

Dr. Shah completed his PhD at the Medical College of Virginia conducting his research in Gene Therapy at the prestigious Clinical Gene Therapy Branch of the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Shah worked in the laboratories of R. Michael Blaese, French Anderson and Kenneth Culver who are credited with conducting the very first human clinical gene therapy experiment. Dr. Shah’s research was on the use of Recombinant Adenoviruses to insert suicide genes into Brain Tumors
